Compression Techniques Corporation (CTC) was founded in 1982 by a group of engineers and marketing professionals employed by major telecommunications companies in the Washington, D.C. area. In 1984 CTC developed its first product called Digital Level Control, which is used to control the VF signal level in PCM trunks of T1 or E1 switches (our DLC 4800). This unique product is the only, standalone device of this type in the world.During the years 1985 and 1986, in recognition of the emerging major market for T1 test equipment, CTC pioneered the first on the market T1 multifunction analyzer, the T-Star 1000. The T-Star 1000 was a complex test set with Bit Error, VF analysis and complete multimode dialing/signaling capabilities.In subsequent years, CTC continued to add new features and technology to this line of products. Many new models such as T-STAR-1096, T-STAR 1500, T-STAR 1500A, T-STAR 102, and T-STAR 2000 series were introduced.Currently, the T-STAR 2000 series test sets ares used worldwide for testing of T1, E1, T3, E3, Voice Circuits, SS7, ISDN and GSM protocols. These state-of the-art analyzers are recognized for its ruggedness, multifunctionality and value.Since 1985, CTC has sold thousand units of the T-STAR family to T1 carriers, telephone and cellular companies, corporate users and utilities in the United States and abroad.
